- CIMTAP tapping compound is a water soluble paste that contains chemical and extreme pressure lubricants.
- It is recommended for a wide range of tapping operations, from hand tapping to high production automatic jobs on ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
- An excellent application for CIMTAP is on parts where the compounds need to be restricted to the tapped hole to minimize or eliminate subsequent cleaning and washing operations.
- Can be used on steels, cast steels, stainless and nickel alloys, aluminium, brass and copper. Not recommended for use on magnesium alloys.
- These products can also be used in compressors and circulating systems.
